The Swachhata application is a fourth generation complaint redressal mobile and web platform. It is a quantum leap in how complaints and grievances are being redressed by Municipal Corporations in India. This solution is for all the 4041 towns and cities of India.
The Swachhata application fuses together a time-tested complaint redressal platform with the opportunity for citizens to work together on civic issues with community centric features for citizens to vote up on complaints, share them with other concerned citizens and comment on the work being done. The Guwahati Municipal Corporation in this had carried out a wide public awareness campaign on the usage of Swachhata App for addressing complaints on Solid Waste Management and Sanitation. The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has assigned Assistant Engineers, Junior Technical Officers (JTOs) and Sanitary Supervisors for taking swift actions on the complaints and resolving them within the time limit. The citizens are also requested to give feedback on the complaints so that service delivery can be improved by the Corporation.
The IHHL application template has been downloaded from the website and all ward committees have been requested to submit a list of beneficiaries alongwith the necessary information required in the application template for the Individual Household Latrine scheme under Swachh Bharat Mission. Applications from wards have been received. The application forms have been verified and approved by the Member Secretaries and Chairmen of respective ward committees.
Funds @ Rs. 2000/- per beneficary have been disbursed to 6777 Online approved applications which were verified offline by Ward Committees. A monitoring team will be placed for scrutiny of the toilets under construction for the disbursal of the 2nd instalment.
