On 19th of April 2018, Guwahati Municipal Corporation had conducted an eviction drive on S.S. Road, Fancy Bazar, Guwahati to confiscate the foothpath from the roadside vendors. The S. S. Road has been declared No Vending Zone as per Hon'ble High Court Order dtd 21st March 2018. The unauthorised vendors who had been encroaching the roadside foothpaths are asked to shift to the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Fancy Bazar Market Complex to continue their business thereon.
